Hilltop Elementary was bulldozed and sent to oblivion. But as Captain Kirk about Mr. Spock after he died, he not's dead as long as we remember him. I have created the blogger dedicated to the memory of Hilltop Elementary and hope to gather stories and pictures from those who went to Hilltop about their experience and teachers.
PS Does anybody have a picture of Hilltop Elementary so I can put it on the web site?

Hello, Eric! My brother just sent this link to me, and I'm so pleased there's a Hilltop blog. I watched as they bulldozed the old place, but I still wander the halls in my dreams - I think elementary school is such a big part of any child's life, it becomes as important if not more so than their actual home.
I got married 8 years ago, we have two kids (6 and 2), one bio son and a daughter adopted from China. While I have lived many other places, we came back here to dig in our roots when we started a family. After the loss of my mother-in-law 8 years ago and my Dad's death in 2000, my Mom and my Father-in-law began to keep each other company when he was in town to visit us, and two years ago they married - yes, my husband is my step-brother.
Hope this blog attracts other former Hilltoppers,

The dictionary's meaning of 'shoes' is identified as an item of sneakers. Now this can be written off being a bad and fully hypothetical case in point, the one which hardly any study was done for, but Nokia is effective in one thing which is promoting affordable mobile phones. The thing is, fresh us citizens have on want cheap cellphones and that will still reduce their dominating share of the market.
This is what I'm wondering. From some of the comments I've read it seems that it was once a neighorhood school and then later opened back up as a private school which is where i attended school until iy closed in the mid 90s.
I went to Hilltop in the late 60's. Loved the school & the teachers. I had Mr. Ruth for both 5th & 6th grade and he was great. I lived on Brightling Dr. so walking distance to school, as most kids that went there were. Spent many evenings hanging out with all the neighborhood kids. So sad to see it torn down to put up condo's. Great times at Hilltop School. Miss those days.
I attend hilltop school from k- 5th grade when the closed it and bussed is to Ladue Elementary. I miss the place. The gym I remember was on the far end. There were big tennis courts we would play kickball on and a huge soccer field. We lived on Collingwood Dr and walked to school. Memories!!!
